While I was cleaning out my closet, I found this:
INSTRUMENTS OF GOOD WORKS
1. Learn to enjoy things without owning them.
2. Spend time each day with the scriptures.
3. Own your limits.
4. Share your talents and time with the community.
5. Care for a plant or cultivate a garden.
6. Learn to live with ambiguity.
7. Dress simply and neatly.
8. Reject consumption patterns that breed oppression of other people or the earth.
9. Tithe your budget for a work of justice or mercy.
10. Travel the least expensive/most practical way possible.
11. Find inexpensive ways to celebrate life.
12. Exercise regularly.
13. Help create an atmosphere that fosters contemplation.
14. Develop a deeper appreciation for all creation.
15. Let nothing distract you from your main goal - to seek God.
16. Learn to eat sensibly and sensitively.
17. Make creation healthy, happy and gadget-free.
18. Know the difference between significant travel and self-indulgent travel.
19. Live now the way you would honestly like to live.
20. Join with others in reshaping institutions in order to bring about a more just and global society.
21. Seek peace and pursue it.
22. Become acquainted with different races and cultures.
23. Choose work that is fulfilling and contributes to the well-being of others.
24. Recycle whatever you can.
25. Purchase goods that are durable, usable and beautiful.
26. Make a yearly inventory of your clothes and possessions and develop a habit of giving things away.
27. Practice conservation of natural resources.
28. Speak from your heart.
