K.I.S.S. BREVITY

brev·i·ty

/ˈbrevitē/
Noun
  1. Concise and exact use of words in writing or speech.
  2. Shortness of time.
I used to watch a T.V. show back in the days and something stuck with me. Not the name of the show or the actors, but this message: BREVITY IS THE KEY TO GOOD COMMUNICATION. But, I don't necessarily practice it because I am often so inundated or overwhelmed with emotions that I want to put into words. And at the risk of being too wordy or digressing too much, I tend to edit a lot of what I write or say, and by doing so I am limiting my feelings and my time to share it. So, I am not fully expressing it which is bad because it can lead to repression which can then manifest into passive-aggressiveness or other things. However, I learned that I must adjust to situations and need to be concise with my speech to get the message across faster and easier for both parties.  It is difficult because there is so much to say, but it is a skill that I must learn. Especially with today's fast-paced world and shorter attention spans. So, I will also try to write shorter but meaningful posts so as not to bore you guys who read this. I can't promise to always do it though. So, bear with me, okay?
'Kay that's it for now. See, that was me keeping it short and simple. ;-)
