IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS...

I know it's only October, but it won't be long before Christmas comes a-knocking. To quote Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings "The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air..."

For starters, it's colder. A sign that "Winter is coming." Oh, and that's from Game of Thrones, in case you guys didn't know.

But, enough about quotes from books (or films/TV shows).

Speaking of the world changing nowadays, I don't just feel it in the air, I taste it in the... (not water) but tea!

Yeah, you read that right! Tea!

Check this one out:

Well, it's my favorite Celestial Seasonings Decaf Green Tea! Except it's jazzed up for the holidays! :-)

Appropriately named "Candy Cane Lane," this tea, according to the brand's website, is a "smooth decaf green tea with the festive flavors of vanilla and other holiday tastes."

Furthermore, it states that:

"This delectable holiday blend starts with naturally decaffeinated green tea and adds unmistakable seasonal flavors like cool peppermint, creamy vanilla and a dash of cinnamon. Candy canes have been cherished symbols of holiday spirit for centuries, and Candy Cane Lane® is sure to become a festive and healthy tradition at your celebrations!"
—Charlie Baden, Celestial Seasonings Blendmaster

Frankly, it smells and tastes like Christmas! :-) Like my favorite mint green tea, it is Über refreshing! But, the added flavors of vanilla and cinnamon (which are also my faves!) make it even better! Sometimes, I add cinnamon to my mint green tea, especially if I ate something sweet. I believe that this helps lower the sudden spike in my blood sugar (from eating sweeties). I read somewhere that cinnamon does that. Now, I don't have to do that because cinnamon is actually incorporated in the tea. I was actually curious about this tea ever since my sister told me about it. Good thing she bought one for us to taste. :-)

Truth be told, I'm not really a big fan of candy canes. I mean, I love seeing them because they remind me of Christmas, but I've tasted one before and it's not really my cup of tea. I think they're better seen that eaten hahaha! Yeah, I'm not really into peppermint candies. And, don't get me started on peppermint chocolates! Blech. Not that I didn't try to like it. I did. Many times. I tried eating it, hoping I'd finally like it, but nah. I think chocolate should not really be mixed with mints. Feels like I brushed my teeth after eating one.

It's a different thing with teas, though. I love peppermint teas! Even if it is still hot, when you drink it, it still manages to refresh you!

So, this is one of the things that make my day happy and bright!

Just wanted to share with you guys. If you guys ever get to try it too, I hope you'll like it as much as I do.

And with that, I bid you fare thee well, my lords and ladies!

P.S. The great thing about Celestial Seasonings teas is that they have a quote found on the boxes of their teas.

For the Candy Cane Lane tea, it says:

Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius.
– Pietro Aretino

How wonderfully apt, indeed! Don't ya think? ;-)
